Garlic Butter Chicken Recipe: Simple Delicious Formula
Shereen Khan
The garlic butter chicken recipe is typically prepared with boneless, skinless chicken breasts that are marinated in a mixture of garlic, butter, lemon juice, herbs, and spices, then grilled or roasted until cooked through. The result is a juicy, flavorful chicken dish that is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal.
Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season these pieces generously with salt and black pepper.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
Peel and mince the garlic cloves. Add them to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Pour the heavy cream and water into the skillet and bring to a boil. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and a splash of water to form a paste.
Gradually whisk the slurry into the boiling cream mixture until thickened, about 1-2 minutes.Continue to simmer the sauce for 5-7 minutes, or until it has thickened and reduced slightly.
Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and black pepper as needed.
Sprinkle chopped parsley on top of the chicken and serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables.
