Wash the strawberries and remove the green leafy part. You can use fresh as well as frozen strawberries.Blend or puree the strawberries until smooth.If using frozen strawberries let them thaw slightly and then blend or puree them.
In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until forms a smooth and creamy texture.
Add the powdered sugar, strawberry puree, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat on low speed until just combined.
Cover the bowl and chill the spread in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to allow it to firm up slightly. This will make it easier to spread.
