Simple Orange Chicken Recipe with Orange Marmalade

Simple orange chicken recipe with orange marmalade is a relatively easy to make. The chicken is first fried until golden brown, then coated in a sauce made with orange marmalade, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and spices. The sauce is cooked until it thickens and coats the chicken evenly.
In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss the chicken to coat it properly with the mixture.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook it until browned on all sides.
Now add the orange marmalade, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and orange zest to the pan. Stir it to combine all the ingredients.
Bring this sauce to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and also check if sauce is thickened.
In a small bowl, whisk together the chicken broth, cornstarch, and water to form a liquid mixture. Add the mixture to the pan and stir until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.
Serve the orange chicken over rice or noodles. You may garnish it with cilantro if you want.
