In a bowl mix all the ingredients except water. Add warm water gradually and keep a check on the consistency.Mix until a soft and doughy consistency is formed. The dough should be slightly sticky but not wet. If the dough is too dry add a tablespoon of water at a time until it reaches the desired level.
Transfer the dough to lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Form each portion into a ball and flatten it slightly.Using a tortilla press or a rolling pin, press or roll each ball into a thin and even circle about 6 inches in diameter.
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.Place a tortilla on the hot surface and cook for 30 seconds to 1 minute per side until it is slightly puffed and lightly golden.
After cooking those from both sides tortillas will be cooked. Now stack them on a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm and pliable.
