Baked Salmon Sushi Recipe: A Perfect Blend of East and the West

Ingredients
- 1 Pound Sushi-graded salmon fillet
- 3 Cup Sticky sushi rice
- 1/4 Cup Rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 Cup Soy sauce
- 10 No. Seaweed sheets
- 1 No. Avocado
- 1 or 2 No. Cucumber
- 1/4 Cup Cream cheese
- 1 or 2 tbsp Sesame seeds
Instructions
- Rinse the rice.
- Boil the rice.
- In a separate bowl, mix together rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Gently fold the vinegar mixture into the cooked rice while it is still warm.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Season the salmon fillet with salt and pepper to taste
- Place the salmon fillet on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly
- Place a generous portion of sushi rice in a bowl
- Top with the baked salmon, flaked into small pieces.
- Arrange the avocado, cucumber, and cream cheese (if using)around the salmon.
- Sprinklewith sesame seeds.
- Serve with wasabi and pickled ginger for an authentic sushi experience.
