Ingredients

For koftas:

  • 1 cup boiled and mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup paneer (Indian cottage cheese)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

For Gravy:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup cashew soaked in water for 30 mins
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • red chili powder to taste
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

In a large bowl combine mashed potatoes, crumbled cheese, chopped onion, bell pepper, ginger garlic paste, ground coriander, cumin, red chili powder, turmeric powder, milk, coriander leaves and salt.
